Ben moved to South Carolina in 2017 after selling a successful doggie daycare he and his wife opened in Delaware in 2004. His love of dogs caused him to pursue a career change from accounting director for a mutual fund company to the doggie daycare business. After moving, he missed the daily interaction with the dogs and their parents and decided to join the K9 Cabana team. He has a “dog first” mentality and enjoys building relationships with customers who love their dogs as much as he does. In his spare time, Ben enjoys listening to music, working on his cars and spending as much time as he can with his fur baby “Katie”.
Senior Shift Leader/Care Management

She began as a volunteer for a school assignment, but her interest in k9 Cabana soon became her job. She is responsible for caring for the dogs as well as all aspects of our front desk operations. After work, Abigaile likes to spend as much time with her two lovely German Shepherds. She has a passion for bowling and plays on several competitive leagues, and she also makes time for her online college classes. In her spare time, she devotes hours to improving her game in hopes of going further with bowling in the future.

Nikohl, our Senior Groomer, has been showcasing her attention to detail and unique artistic flair at k9 Cabana for almost two years. Her love of animals began sixteen years ago as a kennel technician. After being inspired by her mother, who is also a groomer, Nikohl delved into grooming for the following five years. She found that her specialty was in Poodles and Shih Tzus, but she can groom any dog breed and size with the utmost professionalism and skill. When not grooming, Nikohl loves to spend time with her husband and three beautiful boys at the beach and traveling back home to visit family in Michigan.
Cheryl started her career in NC at a veterinary office & quickly fell in love with Grooming. Following her passion, she owned & operated a grooming shop for 15 years. In addition to taking care of the fur babies in our facility she is also a certified vet tech at an animal hospital. Needless to say she can't get enough of being surrounded by loving pets. Dayonna herself has 3 pets at home a pit bull named Pepper, a husky/shepherd named Rambo and a chihuahua mix named Jefé. All 3 of her babies were acquired through rescue. She is deeply committed to the care of animals and she is extremely good at what she does.
Chaz has been fascinated by living creatures, from the smallest caterpillar to the largest Clydesdale horse, since he was a little boy. It certainly seems appropriate that he chose a career involving animals. Chaz relocated to Myrtle Beach from Connecticut in 2015. He earned a Veterinary Assistant Certificate at Horry Georgetown Technical College and joined k9 Cabana Dog Resort's team shortly after completing his externship at a local veterinary hospital. When Chaz isn't working, he enjoys spending time with his family, his two dogs, and expressing his artistic side with animated drawing.

Drea has a tremendous passion for animals of all kinds and aspires to become a certified dog trainer. She has a soft spot for German Shepherds, maybe because she grew up with a Mom who trained German Shepherd show dogs. One of the best gifts was her high school graduation present—she received not one, but two German Shepherd puppies! Not only does Drea spend her time caring for dogs, she also writes and produces her own music. Last month she released her first single “Plexi Glass” and is currently working on producing her first album. Drea also has passion for Pringles and Dr. Pepper.
